Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear this wonderful man has died. I could count on him for a smile and good story every visit. I give him and Dood credit for my enjoyment of gospel music.

Condolence: Thinking of you today, Aunt Dood, Denise, Kevin and all the family. Uncle Wilburn was such a special person and such a gentle presence in our lives for so long, it's hard to believe he's no longer with us. But I can still hear that unforgettable deep voice and quiet laugh as clearly as if he were standing at my shoulder. It occurs to me that I have an audiotape (which I believe I labeled "Pickin' and Grinnin'"!) that I recorded many years ago during a jam session at your home in St. Charles County. Will have to dig that out and listen to it again. So wish I could be there with you but I have obligations in Charlottesville today and tomorrow.
