Manuel Baez passed away at home in Billings, MT on April 30, 2018. He was born on May 26, 1928 to Manuel Baez, Sr and Cruz (Reyes) Baez in Marquez, TX; one of 9 children.
Manuel worked for the BNSF Railroad in Billings, MT from 1957 to 1990. He enjoyed washing and waxing cars, picking dandelions and going to Mamacita’s Cafe every day.
Manuel is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Grace Ramirez and Frances Fabela; brothers Joe, Victor and Refugio “Ralph” Baez. He is survived by his sisters Linda Guzman, Luz “Lucy” Baez and Petra “Betty” Perez; his loving caregiver and niece, Lorraine King; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Viewing held 9:00am to 3:00pm Thursday, May 10, Smith Downtown Chapel, with Rosary starting at 6:30pm. Funeral Mass 10:30am Friday, May 11, Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Rite of committal at Holy Cross Cemetery.
