The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Harder can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I know that John will be sorely missed by his fellow workers in the Calgary oilpatch especially those who were closest to him at Northrock Resources and Taqa North. I personally learned a lot from John as a result of his knowledge and patience as an excellent petrophysicist. I grew to know him as well on a social and philosphical basis with numerous one on one lunches in downtown Calgary long after we went separate ways on our varied career paths. He is etched in my memory as a kind, patient and loving man who his family can be proud of.

Condolence: Harder Family,
John was a great family man and community member. Our son has fond memories from Boy Scouts and 2 trips canoeing at Bowron Lakes, not to mention the many bottle drives. John was a familiar face for many years on the #63 bus from Lakeview to downtown. He will be dearly missed. Our prayers are with you all during this sad time. Gord, Maureen and family
