Service for, Wayne Howell, 83, of Glen Rose will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in the First Baptist Church in Glen Rose. Reverend Rick Lineburger will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park in Cleburne. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at First Baptist Church in Glen Rose. Pallbearers will be Cody Howell, David Howell, Kyle Keller, Gary Howell, Tracy Lyne, and Donny Haberthur.

Wayne passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 in Glen Rose. He was born August 4, 1934 in Iredell, Texas to L.L. and Lizzie Johnson Howell.
Wayne was a boilermaker for the Santa Fe Railroad with over 35 years of service, a farmer for over 47 years, a deacon and very active member of First Baptist Church of Glen Rose, and an avid hunter.

He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Evalene Howell of Glen Rose; daughter, Kathy Keller and husband Kevin of Glen Rose; son, Charles Wayne Howell Jr. and wife Sherry of Bono; five grandchildren, Christi Howard and husband Larry, Mindy Potts and husband Brannon, Cody Wayne Howell, David Wayne Howell, and Kyle Keller; 8 great grandchildren, Trevor, Kacie, Jake, Luke, Maddie, Bailey, Hudson, and Tucker; sister Helen Fulfer of Fort Worth and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert Howell.
