Obituary for Dianne Janice Erickson (Olean)
Dianne Janice Olean Erickson of Chanhassen, MN, age 77, wife, mother, grandmother and good friend to many, passed away in her sleep on May 8, 2018 after a long illness. Preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Erna Olean and brother Dennis. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lance; children Julie Erickson Rojas (Pete) and Steven Erickson (Jodie); grandchildren Ricky Rojas, Annika Erickson and Laurel Erickson; and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Born in Maple Lake, MN, and a 1958 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, MN. Employed by Cargill, Inc for 13 years in their corporate headquarters as an administrative assistant.
After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering at Sojourn & Open Circle Adult Day care companies, Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church office and Ladies Quilting, and the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
Above all, she enjoyed being with people. From her many friends here in Minnesota and her circle of friends in Florida, as well as her beloved family. She also enjoyed spending time at their Lake home in northern Minnesota. Dianne always had a smile on her face.
Funeral services will be held at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church, 301 County Road 19, Excelsior, MN 55331. on Monday May 14, 2018 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to ALS Association of Minnesota.
