Condolence From: Edmund McCarthy
Condolence: As a teacher and coach for thirty years, I can say without hesitation that Skip was the best educating-official I have ever encountered. He always made me, my players, the opponents, the opponents' coaches, and all fans better positioned to understand sport -- through a tough, genuine, intelligent, and humorous approach. I loved the guy. Ed McCarthy St. Sebastian's School

Condolence: My deep condolences to the McCarthy family,
The pain of losing a loved one is oh, so real. I truly understand because recently my husband fell asleep in death after 50 years of marriage. May you find some comfort in the Most High God’s word (Psalms 83:18) . Yes, He promises a time when we can see our loved ones again (Acts 24:15) in perfect health (Isaiah 33:24) and He says where: Psalms 37:11 and how long (Psalms 37:29). May you hold on to God’s promises.
May comfort & peace be with you.

Condolence: I was very lucky to have grown up with Skip on Griswold Street in Cambridge. He was not only one of the most personable guys that I have ever known but also a great athlete, and an extremely caring person.
Many may not remember, but in our neighborhood he was the "king" of block parties. He WAS THE MAN!

My condolences to all of the family.

Condolence: I was saddened to hear about Skip’s passing. I worked at Brooks School and talked with Skip during many of his trips to officiate hockey and baseball games. His personality was so infectious. He was an excellent official who never took himself too seriously. He will be missed.

Condolence From: Tony and Linda Prisco
Condolence: Susan: Linda and I were shocked to hear about Skips death. He was one of a kind! I remember all the good times we had working on the football field together. You probably don't remember us we all spent the night in VT after a game at Middlebury. We are in Alabama and feel awful that we can't come to the memorial. I am glad I was able to see Skip when I was up north last winter. We will pray for Skip, you and your family. Again we send our condolences.
