Obituary for Kathryn M.W. Houghton (Warner)
Kathryn M. W. Houghton, 61. of Rotterdam passed away on Sunday May 20, 2018 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Albany, NY, she was he daughter of the late Kenneth Warner and Margaret (VanZandt) Warner of Tulsa,OK.
She was a graduate of SUNY in Albany. Kathryn was employed for 30 years as a probation officer for Schenectady County.
She was a member of the Bellevue Reformed Church in Schenectady.
Kathryn loved her family and was a great cook. She was passionate about cats and collecting watches.
She is predeceased by her sister Susan Wisch.
Besides her mother Kathryn is survived by her husband Keith E. Houghton whom she married November 26, 1976, her two daughters Amanda Houghton of Rotterdam and Tara Houghton (Alisabeth) of Schenectady, one brother Jeffrey Warner (Lois) of Dunaesburg, one sister Laura Grinell (James) of Tulsa, OK and one sister in law Christine Houghton of Florida. She is also survived by three grandchildren, four nieces and one nephew.
Funeral Services for Kathryn will be Friday at 2:30PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be held from 1:30pm-2:30PM prior to the service.
Interment will be private in Memory Gardens in Colonie.
