Laura Kathleen McKelvey, 67, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018. She was born in Pennsylvania on December 15, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Ernest H. Young II and Alice Halloran Young, and was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Herbert Young III. Laura was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters Court Regina Coeli 2032. She is survived by her husband, Harry Edward McKelvey; a son, Brian Jeremy McKelvey (Susan) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Jennifer Rose McKelvey of Midlothian; grandchildren, Victoria Page McKelvey and Daniel Warren McKelvey; three brothers, Lawrence James Young (Brigitte) of Chula Vista, California, Leonard Ernest Young of Royersford, Pennsylvania and Steven Lee Young of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania; a sister, Lorraine Ann Bender (James) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two nieces, Regan Michelle Steiner (Sam) and Maureen Ashley Bush; her beloved grandpuppies, Reese and Daenerys. A Funeral Mass will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, S. Chesterfield, Virginia 23834 with Fr. Danny Cogut, Celebrant. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday prior to mass at the church. Committal services will be private.
