The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Maria Vetro can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: Few people on earth can say they’ve met a true saint, a truly humbling person a person who always spoke from their heart, I have and I am forever grateful to have spent 28 years with her my amazing Nonna Maria. At 11:37am today my beautiful Nonna took her last breathe, a moment I will never ever forget, I will cherish it in my heart always. Thank you for having me be apart of your final moments as we prayed for your safe passage through. If anyone knew my Nonna she was fighter right to the very end but her fight is over her pain and any suffering is now over. May she find peace now May she watch over our family and May she give me strength to get through this difficult time. I love you Aaa Nonna Mia!!! Mi manchi tanto but I know as you told us every day that this is your destiny and everyone one day will have to go through their own path of destiny, this one just so happened to be yours. 05/30/18 😘❤️ so many loved ones waiting for you as you arrived at your final destination in paradise be at peace my Nonna ❤️❤️❤️

Condolence: Yesterday my eyes were too heavy with sorrow to post what happened. Eyes that have cried from the moment of receiving your diagnosis with you, to after every phone call where you would be so strong and assure me it was all destiny and God would take care of you, to these final days where you told me to not cry for you. I can’t promise that these tears are over because, Nonna I will forever miss you, your smile, all your wisdom and your beautiful words . But I do promise that these tears are with happiness that you are not suffering anymore. I’ve prayed so hard for peace, harder than I ever have for myself, just so that you could find peace in going home. I prayed to my Nonno to take you from this hospital bed and fly you away to the sun so you two could be together and happy in Eternal life. And yesterday, while we were all there with you praying, I know that so was Our Lord, Mother Mary and all the angels and saints because you left this world with peace and smile to let us know you are alright. I am beyond blessed to have had you in my life and I’ve learned so much in these last years of what it means to be here on this Earth fulfilling our destiny, about how strength and willpower will be a better cure than any medicine and how when you truly love others God multiplies that love and surrounds you with it in times of need. Nonna I love you so much and will miss you forever ❤️ Riposa in Pace 🙏🏼❤️
