Condolence From: Mary Helen and Steve Gallagher
Condolence: To Chloe, Dylan, Carla and families, Steve and I are saddened to hear of Rick’s passing. Rick was our photographer at our wedding 29 years ago in July. He and Carla were both excellent professionals and we were more than pleased with Rick’s photos of our wedding. He was very accommodating and there was not one photo we were not pleased with. I would often admire his work displayed at the local mall when he was in Yarmouth. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Sincerely, Steve and Mary Helen Gallagher

Condolence: I am so sad to hear of Richard's passing. I worked with him for 10 years at CIBC where he teased me relentlessly! Lol. His sense of humor and quit wit brought positivity to our jobs and he was adored by everyone. Not a day went by that he did not ask "what's new?" and was genuinely interested. He will be missed by many. May he rest in peace❤ Cyd

Condolence: To the Nicolle family / My heartfelt condolences on the loss of Richard. My sister Colette and I had the pleasure of meeting Richard last year (our family is from Shad Bay, Coolen's Road). We met at Sophie's place and he gave us a wonderful tour of the cabin he turned into a home (and explained where the name Penn Road came from). We also went for a drive up Canon Rock Lane to look at my property and the homes. I found Richard to be very engaging - he had a smile that made his eyes twinkle. In the very short time my sister and I spent with Richard that day I knew he loved animals, loved to build things with his hands, loved the ocean, and loved to take pictures. He will truly be missed. God Bless

Condolence: Richard, you were a very special person and your passing has left a big hole in our hearts. It was such a joy to have known you. During your time in East Dover you served on our recreation committee and gave freely of your time and help. Often the first to volunteer, it was because of you that the community hall bathroom project was completed so effectively, that blinds were installed for the movie nights you organized, and that a storage shed was sourced and procured. Your thoughtful input provided many unique ideas that were undertaken for the community, and you were there whenever help was needed for an event or work project. And most of all, you always showed up with your amazingly warm smile and often an anecdote to lighten everyone's spirits. Mike & I always enjoyed your visits in our home, and your conscientious help. It was an honour to call you friend. You will not be forgotten. Our sincere condolences to your family, Jennifer & Mike

Condolence: To you, the family and friends, who knew and loved Rick, his passing leaves a hole in all our lives, so may he be at peace, and may you take comfort in the thoughts that he blessed many of us with his presence as a genuine friend who was intelligent, passionate, artistically gifted, thoughtful, quirky and full of fun. For more than 40 years, he was actively a part of our lives with a visit for tea, or a call to ask "What's new?" Our thoughts are with you all at this time. We leave you with the song, Godspeed, by Shaye, written by Ron Hynes
