The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Joan Oswalt can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I was unaware of Ms. Joan's passing. Great friend and wonderful woman. I knew both Mr. Ozzie and Ms. Joan through BSA T-108. Will always remember both of them fondly,

Condolence: I first met Ozzie when my son Patrick was in troop 108 in Cookeville. He joined in 1997 when we first moved here. Ozzie was instrumental in helping Patrick achieve his Eagle Scout. Being a nurse, I later met Joan when I was caring for Ozzie during one of his many admissions to CRMC on the cardiac floor. He always requested me if I was working. I was smitten when I first met Joan as I'm sure he was. I attended Ozzie's funeral and celebration of life and have a picture of me with both of them at the photo booth on my locker to this day. It brought me great sorrow when I just learned of dear Joan's passing on the day she was buried. To know them was to love them and I feel blessed that they touched my life. My deepest sympathy to their most cherished possessions, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Condolence: I express my deep condolences for your loss. Joan (and Ozzie) were faithful members of our local NARFE chapter. Many years they served in various positions. We will miss Joan's presence and winning smile at our meetings.
