Service for Jimmy Lee Tyer, 66, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 2, 2018 in the Field Street Baptist Church. Dr. John Hall and the Reverend John Glover will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Jimmy Lee Tyer passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in Fort Worth. He was born December 19, 1951 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to Noble Bobby “Bob” and Dorothy Nell Barns Tyer. He married Barbara Wilson on December 31, 1973.
Mr. Tyer worked as a general manager of a steel plant until retiring. He was a member of Field Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Barbara Tyer of Cleburne; son, Robert Tyer and wife Hallie of Haslet; daughter, Tiffany Salinas and husband Adolfo of Cleburne; grandchildren, Makaila Tyer, Lee Tyer , Allyn Tyer, and Maryn Tyer; mother, Dorothy Tyer of Cleburne; sister, Janis Collins of Whitney; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
