Obituary for Robert Giron

Robert Giron
Robert Giron passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the age 68 in El Paso, Texas. He was born on March 4, 1950 in Las Cruces to Carlos and Maria Giron. Robert grew up with his 6 siblings, his brothers: Mario, Charlie, Oscar, Sal, and Pete, and his sister Yolanda. He loved going camping every summer, and he would always catch more fish than the rest of us. He taught his children how to hike safely and which plants to stay away from, he taught us how to fish and how to put our tents together. As his children, we always looked forward to our summer break because we would get to spend a week or two at Lake Roberts, which we would call, "Dad's Lake." It was his favorite place to go on vacation.
Robert was very good at fixing things around the house and building things like toys and furniture. He always included his children in his projects, whether it was working on his vehicles or replacing the warped wood from the deck, so that we would learn to be as handy as he was. No matter how crazy his children’s dreams, he was always supportive and encouraged us to reach our goals.
Robert is survived by his wife, Blanca Giron and his 5 Children: Danny, Eric, Monica, Bobbie Sue and Andrew Giron. As well as his 9 grandchildren and his 3 great grandchildren.
Roberts service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church in Hatch, New Mexico. Father Alejandro will be officiating for the ceremony. Burial will follow the mass at The Garden of Memories in Hatch, New Mexico. There will also be a reception to celebrate Roberts life, it will be held in the hall connected to the church. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Roberts life.
