Obituary for John Webster

John Webster, 87, died Sunday, July 01, 2018 at St. Peter University Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Born in South Bound Brook, Mr. Webster resided in Somerset for 45 yrs. Before moving to Monroe 4 yrs. ago.

Prior to his retirement in 1998, he worked as a welder for 30 yrs. with Mohawk Manufacturing located in Whitehouse, NJ

John was a former member of St. Peter’s the Apostle Church, New Brunswick and a member of Nativity of our Lord Church, Monroe.

He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict

Mr. Webster was a member of the South Bound Brook First Aid Squad, a member of the New Brunswick K of C #257 as well as Past Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator.

Predeceased by 5 brothers, 4 sisters and a grandson Ronald Frederick.

He is survived by wife Eleanor Webster, a son John (Cris), 5 daughters Kathleen Wertz (Edward), Fran Kinninburgh (Michael), Carol Miller (Gerald), Ellen Frederick, Jackie Ciancia (John), 1 brother Fred Webster, 2 sisters Emma Donnelly and Elsie Chigi and 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday 9:00am from The GLEASON FUNERAL HOME, 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset followed by a 10:00am funeral liturgy at St. Peter the Apostle Church, New Brunswick. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick. Visitation Thursday 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
