I am Wayne's little sister, all of 5 feet tall. I used to call him my gentle giant. He had the most wonderful hugs, even though he had to bend half way over because he was so tall. And everyone knew he loved to play cards. I did not live in St. Louis with my siblings, I lived with my mother in Massachusetts, but I did visit from time to time. On one of my trips, Wayne, and my two other brothers, Stanley and Paul were at the kitchen table playing, yep, cards. I asked to play and Wayne said no because I didn't know how, but they let me play anyway, and they were right, I didn't know how and I lost, haha. And Wayne would laugh that soft laugh of his.
He also had the most beautiful hair, and I teased him because he looked like Ed "Kookie" Burns on the TV series "77 Sunset Strip".
Even though we did not see much of each other, I loved him very much and will miss him terribly.
