Obituary for Joan Marie Ditchkus
Joan Marie Ditchkus, 84, of Scranton, passed away on June 30, at The Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania. Her husband is John Ditchkus Sr., they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on May 10th.
She was the daughter of the late Carl and Ruth Singer Turner. She attended Moosic High School and prior to retirement she was employed by Community Medical Center for 37 years as an Anesthesia tech.
Also surviving is a son, John Ditchkus Jr., Scranton; two grandchildren, Victoria and Alexandra Ditchkus, Scranton; two sisters, Betsy Thomas, Moosic and Cindy Freeman, Elmhurst; a brother, William Turner, NJ; many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Carl, Frank, Kenneth and Jerry Turner; a sister, Rose Mary Marino.
Funeral services were held private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements by the Miller Bean Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation services at the Hickory Crematory & Cremations Services of NEPA LLC, 307 Hickory St., Scranton.
