Obituary for Carl D. Hall

Monday July 9, 2018…

Hall, Carl D, 71, passed away the morning of Monday, July 9, 2018. He was born on July 17, 1946 in Deport, Texas, to EJ and Evelyn Hall. He was a devoted father, exceptional grandfather, and loving brother, uncle and friend.

Carl was an Army veteran from 1965-1967 who served in the Vietnam War as a battlefield engineer. After the war, Carl came back to east Texas where he raised two children and worked at Lone Star Steel, retiring after a long career. Carl was an avid outdoorsman, and he loved to hunt and fish with his family and friends, especially at the Sulphur River.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Charles Beveridge of Lucas, Texas, and his two granddaughters, Claire and Cara; his brothers, John, Gary, and David Hall; and sisters, Barbara Lawrence, Gayla Thomas, Phylis Shoemaker, Sheila Waddill, Brenda Hayes, Ann Hooper, and Teresa Isham, as well as his brothers- and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Tracy Hall, his parents, EJ and Evelyn Hall, and his brother Eddie Hall.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00pm Friday, July 13, 2018 at Liberty Baptist Church, 204 Daingerfield St., Naples, TX 75568. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or any other military veterans nonprofit organization, in leu of flowers.
