Obituary for Betty Irene Ingebertson

Passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 in her 85th year with family by her side. Survived by her husband Carl, daughter Carla (Jim Black), son Clarke (Michele) . She will be missed by her grandchildren, Krista, Eric, Cassandra and Andrew and great grandson, Hayden.
Betty was born in Brampton Hospital and spent her early years with her family in Georgetown, returning to Brampton at age 12. She met Carl in 1954 at Grace United church Young People’s Meeting. They married one year later in Betty’s Church. They raised two children Carla in 1958 and Clarke in 1960. Betty loved to travel with Carl around the world to not only beautiful Canada and the U.S. but overseas to Europe, Alaska, Australia and New Zealand to name a few countries. Betty enjoyed cottage life on Georgian Bay at Meaford and later in Haliburton on Allan Lake located in Harcourt Park. We enjoyed a break mid-winter for thirty years in Florida with Russ and Lil Prouse our long time Brampton friends. Betty will be remembered for always putting family first. If help was needed she asked caring questions before giving good advice. Betty played an excellent game of Bridge, taught to her by her Mother(Clara Clarke) and always for fun(not serious). Betty could always express herself in a unique fashion often combined with a great comeback, when called upon. Betty’s lively nature brought fun to her personal opinions. Her reward was raising a happy family, who never let her down.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel” 52 Main St. South, on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held at Grace United Church, 156 Main St. North, Brampton at 11am. Cremation to follow.
