James Eddie Rose 71, of Marrowbone Creek, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV.
He was born February 12, 1947 at Lookout, KY to the late John Langley & Helen Elizabeth” Elkins” Rose.
Besides his parents Eddie was preceded in death by a son Michael Rose, three brothers, Ireland, Jimmy & Danny Rose, one grandchild Tyler Luster, & a great-grandchild, Noah Ratliff.
Eddie is survived by his loving & devoted wife of fifty four years, Willa Ann “Branham” Rose of Marrowbone, a son Jamie Rose & his wife Olivia of Ashcamp, KY, a daughter Melissa Luster, her husband Billy of Pikeville, KY, seven grandchildren; Nicholas Phillips, Sasha Rose, Ashley Perry, Talisha Rowe, Elijah Rose, Dawson Rose & Easton Rose, twelve great-grandchildren; Jacob, Jayden, Braxton, Ryleigh, Parker, Tyler, Lucas, Caleb, Keagan, Emma, Brooklyn, & Gaige, four sisters, Nancy Ollier of OH, Rita Dutton of Stanton, KY, Teresa Slone of Kimper, KY Jeanine Woods of London, KY, three brothers, Ronald Rose of Somerset, KY, Dale Rose of Sydney, KY & William Rose of Lookout, KY, & all his church family.
Eddie was a faithful member & acting Deacon, at the Poorbottom Freewill Baptist Church, a truck driver, coal miner, a brother in Christ and a good man.
Eddie loved his family, he was a devoted husband, father & grandfather. A good friend to all.
He was treasured by his family and will be sadly missed.
The family will accept friends at the Poorbottom Freewill Baptist Church, Wednesday at 6PM, July 25, & Thursday July 26, 2018 with services each night at 7PM. Funeral services will be Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. with Richard Gibson officiating all services.
Burial will follow at the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Pikeville, KY.
