Francis “Butch” Kressin, age 72, passed away at his home in Beloit, Wisconsin on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Butch was born on July 11, 1946 to Francis and Anna Marie (Doheny) Kressin in Janesville, Wisconsin.
Butch graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1965 and attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa to play baseball. He served in the United States Navy and served three tours in Vietnam from 1967-1971. Butch had many jobs throughout his life. Most notably, he spent 27 years at Beloit Corporation.
Butch loved baseball and was involved in playing and coaching baseball for most of his life. He instilled his love for baseball in his grandsons. You could always count on Butch to cheer and jeer loudly from the sideline at their games.
Butch treasured spending time with his two children, Lisa Kressin and Brad (Erika Schneider) Kressin and his five grandchildren, Jonathan, Ryan & Connor Hughes and Mazie & Ellis Kressin. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard (Sally) Kressin, Jim (Shirley) Kressin and many nieces, nephews, extended family and other friends. Butch was a loving father, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by parents and his two sisters, Colleen Petersen and Maureen Gonfiantini.

A Family and Friend Gathering to celebrate Butch’s life will be held from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday, September 15th at the Foster Funeral Home, 1650 Huebbe Parkway, Beloit. Full military honors will be rendered at 10:15 am.
