Obituary for John Chaffee

Heaven gained a true cowboy and winner during the early hours of August 30, in his family home. He was born February 20, 1939 in Livingston, MT. He married his wife Kathy, of 55 years in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He is survived by his daughter Kayleen, Shawn (husband), and Debra: son, John and grandson, Mason, John’s wife Ronni and daughter Manchi. He was a cowboy through and through that was always at his best surrounded by horses, cows, and his family. John was born almost a 100 years too late, but the world was better off for it. He died with his boots on without ever pulling leather.

Survived by his brother, David Chaffee and his wife Fern, sister Diane Ascheman and her husband Steve, brother-in-law, Emmer Ball, brother-in-law Kent Martin and his wife Linda, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father and mother, Cecil and Lorraine Chaffee, in-laws Vernon and Beulah Martin, and sister-in-law, Lee Ann Ball.
