Pauline Aline Sheehan
South Burlington/Winooski - Pauline Aline Sheehan died peacefully surrounded by family at UVM Medical Center on September 4, 2018 formally of Winooski. She was born in Swanton VT. on January 28, 1930 the daughter of the late Alfred Moreau and Marie( Messier) Moreau.
Pauline grew up in Swanton and attended St. Anne's Academy with the Sisters of the Holy Spirit. After graduating from high school, she entered the three year Professional Fanny Allen School of nursing and graduated as a Registered Nurse where she retired after 31 years as the Head Supervisor of the Nursing Department.
Pauline is survived by two sons Mark and wife Joanna of Candia, NH, Matthew of Vergennes, three grandchildren Katie and husband Eric Richard of Allenstown, NH, Ryan Sheehan and girlfriend Brittany Nolan of Vergennes, Shelby Sheehan and boyfriend Keegan Sullivan of Vergennes, VT, several nieces and nephews. Pauline is predeceased by husband Lawrence June 7, 2018, brother Antoni Moreau, sisters Alfreda Brown and Anne Marie Benjamin.
Pauline's family would like to extend a very special thank you to the nursing staff at PPR UNIT at UVMMC who took care of her during the blood transfusions and the staff at Pillsbury Manor where they lived for the past year and half.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on September 11, 2018 St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Winooski, Vt.,where Pauline was a member for 52 years. Burial to follow at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery. Donations can be made to Vermont Catholic Charities. Arrangements are under the care of LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
