Obituary for Doris Yvonne Denby

Doris Yvonne  Denby
Doris Yvonne Denby, 82, of Carlinville, IL passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Carlinville Rehab & Healthcare. She was born December 8, 1935 in Grafton, IL to Edward and Lola (Calame) Depper. Doris married Phillip “PL” Denby, December 28, 1984 and he precedes her in death.

Doris was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Carlinville and she enjoyed cooking, sewing, spending time with her grandkids, crossword puzzles, reading her Bible and singing church hymns.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and grandson, Eric Cairns.

She is survived by her daughters; Michelle (companion Bob Hughes) Pocklington of Carlinville, IL, Barbara (Jeff) Kruse of Brighton, IL, and Mary Albert of Godfrey, IL, grandchildren; Jennifer (Ron) Davis of Gillespie, IL, Amanda Cairns of Highland, IL, Randy Cairns Jr. of Carlinville, IL, Travis (Alex) Pocklington of Springfield, IL, Mollie Mann of Jerseyville, IL, Jeffrey Kruse of Godfrey, IL, Russell (fiancé Sara) Kruse of Charlottesville, VA, Max Pippa of Nashville, TN, and Telly Pippa of Godfrey, IL, and 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018, 10:30am at Emmanuel Baptist Church Activity Center.

Memorials may go to her family.
