Blanca Pena-Mota, 78, of Gill, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2018 in Greeley, Colorado.

Blanca was born in Ciuda Acuna, Mexico to Elterio Dena-Castillo & Zapopan Mota-Vasquez on January 28, 1940. In 1973, in Greeley, Blanca found the love of her life and partner, Rosendo Santacruz, with whom she loved for the last 45 years.

Blanca came to the USA in 1973 from Mexico. She was known to be a very hard worker and an amazing provider for her family. Blanca was a mother to many and loved by all. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, and loved traveling to visit her loved ones. She will be missed and remembered as our matriarch, like the love she had for elephants.

Blanca is survived by her partner; 8 children; 33 grandchildren; 7 siblings; and a large loving extended family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Marcos Hernandez; 5 grandchildren; parents; and 2 brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday September 19th, 2018 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd St, Greeley, CO
