Daryl R. Strohm, 86, passed away at home, peacefully in his sleep on the morning of September 20th, 2018 just three days before his 68th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife Norma Jane. Funeral service will be 10 am, Thursday, Sept. 27, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Floral Hills Cemetery. Daryl retired from Armco Steel after 33 yrs. to pursue a new 20-plus year career with Norma as the owners of “Strohm’s Japanese Koi and Water Gardening”, where they supplied, assisted and educated many new water gardening enthusiasts. Daryl and Norma were members of the Heart of America Carnival Glass Club, where they made the best of friends. Daryl loved fast cars and bikes, antiques, carnival glass and many new adventures!
We will all miss the spice he brought into our lives. Daryl is survived by his wife Norma, daughters Linda Parsons and husband Lon, Vicky Galetti and husband Michael, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
