Terry B. Dowling, 65, of Reading, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of JoAnn (Oxenford) Dowling with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage. Born in Reading, Pa, he was the son of the late Robert and S. Ruth (Hornberger) Dowling. Terry graduated from Mt. Penn High School in 1970 and then went on to Penn State for Real Estate and Insurance, graduating in 1974. He was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of Reading-Berks Association of Realtors. He also was a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Association as well as a former Supervisor at Lower Alsace Township. Terry was the owner/operator of Terry B. Dowling Real Estate and Appraisals. In addition to his wife JoAnn, Terry is survived by one son Elliot A. of Australia and one daughter Leslie J. of South Carolina; one brother Robert J. husband of Karen and one sister Marcia J. wife of Richard Sebastian. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services beginning at 11:00 am in Lutz Funeral Home, Inc. 2100 Perkiomen Avenue Reading, PA 19606.
