Carol Ellen Krenek died peacefully at home on September 25, 2018 at the age of 72.

Carol is survived by her loving husband Roger Steven Krenek, son Craig William Krenek, son Karl Lowell Krenek, and sister Patricia Brown. She has two grandchildren, Kaylynn and Connor.

Carol was born April 7, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to Eugene and Ellen Youngreen. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and English from Aurora University in May 1975 and a Master of Accounting Science from Northern Illinois University in December 1982.

Carol was an accomplished Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and contributor to many accounting textbooks. Nothing pleased her more than a competitive rubber of bridge and digging into a good book. Carol's Christmas cookies were legendary as they always brought a special joy to the season.

A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday September 30th, 2018 at 2:00 at Peace Lutheran Church 1701 Missouri Ave, Las Cruces, NM 88001 with a reception to follow. Pastor Jared Carson presiding. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carol's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Peace Lutheran Church, Girl Scouts, or Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
