Walter Fredrick Colvin, age 82, of Brainerd, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Essentia-St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Walter was born in Brainerd on July 11, 1936 to George & Julia (Blazer) Colvin. He married Marsha Eliseuson and together they had three children. He served his country in the US Army and worked as a logger for 25 years, and at Landsburg Nursery for 7 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marsha; children: Melody Colvin of Brainerd, Laura (Robert, Sr) Dale of Aurora, MN, and Wayne (Lena) Colvin of Erhard, MN; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings.
A memorial service celebrating Walter’s life will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11AM at Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home – BRAINERD CHAPEL. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Interment will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.
