According to God’s perfect plan, Marie Ann Joseph was the third of five girls born to the union of Alice Adams Joseph and Frank Joseph on September 1, 1963. Marie was baptized, took her first communion, and made her confirmation at St. Phillip Catholic Church in Vacherie, LA. She was blessed with two children, Thaddeus and Tayja Joseph and two grandchildren, Tylan and Rhylen Joseph. Marie was educated in the St. James Parish Public School System and was a graduate of the St. James High Class of 1982. She was an employee of the St. James Parish School Board and Chateau St. James Rehab & Retirement Center.
She leaves to treasure her memories her children, Thaddeus Joseph(Rici Roussell) and Tayja Joseph; grandchildren, Tylan and Rhylen Joseph; sisters, Secelly Fletcher(Calvin), Yolanda Narcisse, Kenisha Joseph and Shantell Joseph; Godmother, Joanne Steib; Great aunt, Emily Williams; Aunts and Uncles Hattie A. Honore(Cornell), Joyce Hawthorne, Cecile Adams, Mary Lee Adams, Janet Adams, Bertha Simon-Cage, Jollie Joseph, Gail Noel(James), Hubert Joseph(Betty), Louise Joseph, Chester Joseph, Thomas Joseph, Betty Joseph; Godchildren Jaylon Garrett and Monique Simon; Nieces Toccara Narcisse, Makita Fletcher, Za’Nyi Ross and Za’Nae Ross; Nephews Monterio Fletcher and Norward Narcisse Jr; Devoted friend, Thaddeus Octave; Best friends, Charmaine Zenon, Monica Ester, Darlene Narcisse, Claudette Octave,Teneisha Johnson; and Devoted Cousins Arkethea Honore and Sheila G. Baloney. Upon entering her eternal rest on September 25, 2018, she joins her parents, Alice Adams Joseph and Frank Joseph; Godfather, Andrew Rayfield; Maternal grandparents, Marie Favorite Adams and Lionel Adams; Paternal grandparents, Elemer Joseph and Thomas Joseph; sister, Suzette Joseph; Great niece, Mi’Angel Pillette; Best friend Alfreda Young. There will be a gathering of friends on Friday October 5, 2018 from 5-7 pm at Treasures of Life Funeral Services 315 E. Airline Hwy. Gramercy, La. 70052. A mass of christian burial will be held on Saturday October 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Philip Catholic Church 1175 La -18 Vacherie, La. 70090. Visitation begins at 9:00am .
