Obituary for Lois Marie Horn (Jenuwine)

Print
Lois Marie Horn, longtime resident of Fraser, died unexpectedly September 26, 2018. She was 74 years of age.

Lois was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan on April 6, 1944, daughter of the late Leo and Ethel (Schoenherr) Jenuwine. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Gerald Victor Horn, on June 1, 1968 in St. Clemens Catholic Church of Romeo. The couple made their home in Fraser in 1969 and was blessed with three wonderful children of whom she loved and cherished. Lois dedicated her life to her family and was the epitome of a great mother and devoted wife. Her family always came first and she made sure her children were raised with Christian values in a loving home. Lois had a kindred spirit and a heart of gold. She enjoyed helping others and put her passion to work by volunteering at St. Ronald Catholic Church as Eucharistic Minister, singing in the choir and helping in the kitchen. Lois was an avid reader who enjoyed quilting, sewing and cross stitching. She also enjoyed ceramics. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and enjoyed each and every moment shared in their company. Every summer, Lois always looked forward to her trips to Lewiston to visit her sister. She will always be known for her sweet smile and her giving hand. She will be greatly missed and her light will always continue to glow in our heart.

Lois is the loving wife of 50 years to Gerald; dearest mother of Christopher (Kristine) Horn, Kevin (Kathy) Horn and Barbra (Timothy) Burns; cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Mark, Margaret and Jackson; beloved sister of Donna ( the late Ray) Hyek, Norman (Nadine) Jenuwine, Thomas (Dorothy), Dale (late Tomie) and the late John at a young age, Mark, Gary, Joseph and Shirley; and dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Ronald Catholic Church on Monday, October 8, 2018, at 10:30am with Rev. Father Herman officiating. Family will start receiving guest at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be addressed to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mount Elliott Street, Detroit, MI 48207. Share memories at www.faulmannwalsh.com
