Mrs. Alice Marie Furr Hagler, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Pruitt Health.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 30, at Rocky Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Tam Wensil officiating. The family will receive at 1:00 PM Sunday in the Sanctuary.
Alice, affectionately called “Punkin” was born March 23, 1932 in Concord to the late Clyde and Fannie Hudson Furr. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Johnson D. Hagler;
Brothers, Archie Furr and Fred Furr, and sister, Betty Furr Sherrill Perry.
Alice was one of the original employees of Safewaze Safety Company and was a member of Rocky Ridge UMC.
Alice is survived by her son, Darrell Hagler and wife, Sandy, and granddaughter, Angie. Alice also cherished the friendships of a brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her longtime friend and sister-in-law Louise Hagler, Bobby Perry, and Jackie Thomas.
