Frank E. Lacaria Sr., age 92, of Bridgeport, WV, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the United Hospital Center. Frank was able to remain in his home until this final stay at UHC. He was born on September 17,1926 in Berryburg, WV, a son of the late Battista and Mary (Yocco) Lacaria.
In addition to his parents Mr. Lacaria was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Theresa A. (Oliverio) Lacaria; two sisters: Agnes Quinn and Elizabeth Hammers; and two brothers: Philip Lacaria and Buddy Lacaria.
Frank is survived by five sons: John and wife Kimberly of Bridgeport, Dominick and wife Terry of McMurray,PA, Frank Jr. and wife Gina of Bridgeport, Anthony and wife Valerie of Rutherfordton, NC, and Thomas of Palm Bay, FL; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
After graduating from Bridgeport High School Class of 1944, Frank served his country in the United States Navy aboard a ship in the Pacific during WWII. After being discharged he worked at auto plants in Detroit, Michigan. Upon his return to Bridgeport he worked for Kirby Shoes, Thom McAn Shoes, and Marilyn Shoes as manager with 20 years of service. He later retired from Lockheed Martin with 15 years of service.

Family and friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main Street Clarksburg, WV, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 2 until 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11am, visitation will begin that morning at 9am. Interment will follow at the Bridgeport Cemetery.
