Evelyn E. Holmberg, age 90, of Motley passed away at her home on September 29, 2018. She was born in Sanborn, Minnesota to Elizabeth and Andrew Haak.
Funeral service for Evelyn will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 5, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Motley, with Pastor Paul Koehler officiating. Visitation on Thursday from 5:00-8:00pm at the Taylor Funeral Home in Staples, and one hour prior to the service and the church. Interment Evergreen Cemetery in Motley.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; sisters, Maxine Lotzer, Bernice Pieske; and brother, Laverne Haak
She will be deeply missed by her children, Sharon Halligan of St. Paul, David (Karen) Holmberg of Motley, Cheryl Hejhal of Park Rapids, Audrey (Pat) McCauley of Northfield, Donnie Holmberg of Maple Grove, Debbie (Les) Leek of Zim, Duane Holmberg of Willernie, Cindy Schifsky of Cambridge, Wendy (Jerry) Daniels of St. Paul; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Lyla Holmberg of Motley and Darlene Clark of Cross Lake; brother-in-law, Darrell (Jeanine) Holmberg of Lamberton.
