Wayne F. Conard known as “Chickie” or “Beefy” of Presidential Lakes passed away into God’s loving and eternal care Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mount Holly. He was 71. Born in Camden, he was raised in Delanco and later in in the Country Lakes section of Browns Mills. Chickie, also known as Mr. Wayne to some of the students, retired as a school bus driver for Pemberton Township after 27 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed the kids he transported, often giving them nicknames, and even traveled to see some of them graduate college. His family was his primary focus in life. He was a Dodge Truck Man. In his free time, he could be found fishing, cooking, or taking a cruise with wife. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Conard, and his mother and stepfather, George and Ruth (Randall) Kitson; his wife of 33 years, Joan; and a nephew, Shawn Kitson. He is survived by his son, Conrad Graeff; his sisters, Ruthann “Muffy” Conard Liedtka (Thomas), Jilleen Kitson, and Kelly Kitson Aldridge (Richard), and a brother George Kitson (Donna). He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Jeanie Newsome, Mark Liedtka, Julie Ostrenga, Laura Liedtka, Diana Holmquist, Michael Virili, Nicholas Virili, Damien Virili, Garrett Wayne Aldridge, and Khristy Kitson, as well as extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front St., Florence, where relatives and friends will be received by the family from 6 p.m. until the time of service. In keeping with Chickie’s wishes, interment will be held privately.
