Sadly, our mountain man Larry William Lytle, 82 passed away on October 1, 2018 from a very brief illness.
On April 21, 1936 in Mogollon, New Mexico a mountain boy was born to Bill and Louise Lytle. Larry came in to the world behind Claude, his big brother, and ahead of his two little sisters Beth and Sharon. After an early childhood in Mogollon the Lytle’s moved to Lordsburg, NM where Larry met the love of his life Patsy Crouch, (Alice Patricia Crouch 1937-1998) and where he proudly graduated from Lordsburg High School in 1954.
Larry and Patsy married in 1955, went to college in Las Cruces and had two NMSU Aggie babies Deanna and Larry M.
Larry W. had a successful career in the insurance industry in Denver, Colorado, and later retired from the Office of the State Engineer in Deming, NM. He was a proud member of the Rotary Club of Deming.
Larry was an avid NMSU Aggie fan, he saw them win the Sun Bowl game in 1960 as a student, and again in 2017 as an alum. Yea Aggies!!
Larry loved Red Chile and Tacos. Thanks to his friends at Andeles and Chilitos!
Larry is survived by his loving family, daughter Deanna, her husband David and his two grandchildren Tara and Stephen (Erin). His best friend and son Larry M., his wife Donna and his two grandchildren Ryan and Taylor. Little sister Sharon Lytle Harris (Lee), numerous loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and many friends in southern NM and AZ.
At Larry’s request, cremation has taken place and services will be held in Lordsburg, NM on November 10, 2018.
