Lois Diesing Fritz, a lifelong resident of Scranton, died Wednesday morning, Oct 3, at the Mountain View Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl William Fritz in March 2015. The couple had been married for 62 years.

Born July 23, 1928, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late William and Emily Lanzer Diesing. She was a lifelong member of the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church. She was active in many church organizations including the Seibert Schneider Sunday School Class. She was a Class of 1946 Scranton Technical School graduate and was employed as a service representative by Bell Telephone Company until leaving to raise her family.

Her family and church were the focus of her life. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and Oma. Her kindness and caring will be deeply missed.
Lois’ family is sincerely grateful to the staff of Mountain View Care Center whose exceptional care and dedication filled her days with meaning and warmth.

Surviving Lois are her son Mark Fritz and wife Koni, Kansas; a daughter, Jill Buntz, grandsons William Buntz and wife Christine, John Buntz and Henry Buntz, all of Maryland; several nieces and a nephew. She was also preceded in death by son-in-law David Buntz.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct 8 at 10am in the Hickory Street Presbyterian Church, 435 Hickory St., Scranton, Rev. Clinton A. Randall officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst. Friends may call Sunday, Oct 7 from 2-4 pm in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave., Scranton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hickory Street Presbyterian Church.
