Darrell Keith Haley was born on July 21, 1964 in Boston, Massachusetts to James and Patricia Haley. He was the second born of four children.

He attended the Boston Public Schools. After High School, he became a skilled painter and held several positions with various companies, including the Chappie Home Improvements.

One of Darrell’s many talents was his love for preparing delicious BBQ for family gatherings. In addition, he loved to help others, weather it was driving to run errands, maintenance repairs or shoveling snow for family and neighbors. He was always willing to assist someone in need and he did it, consistently, with a smile. His unique and distinguished smile became one of his great trademarks. Darrell loved music and you knew he was home when you suddenly heard loud music coming from the driveway, especially the Temptations CD made by his Auntie Pam.

Darrell departed this earthly life on September 26, 2018 at the Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care in Milton, Massachusetts. His quiet and peaceful transition into eternity occurred in the presence of his loving mother Patricia and Auntie Pam.

He leaves behind to mourn his earthly absence his parents James and Patricia Haley of Boston, MA; brothers Wayne Haley, Brian Haley, Patrick Mungal, Jr. and James Haley, Jr. all from Boston, MA; sisters; Lisa Gardner (Artell Gardner) for Randolph, MA; Delores Davis from Malden, MA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 O’clock at The Historic Charles Street A.M.E. Church 551 Warren Street Dorchester, MA 02121.
