George Lawrence Hawkins, Sr., of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on October 2, 2018. He was 92.
Mr. Hawkins was born in Bucks County, PA, to Charles W. Hawkins and Ida Eugene Lilly Hawkins. He was the devoted wife of 73 years to Jean Hawkins, loving father of George Lawrence Hawkins, Jr., and his wife Sharon, of Darlington, MD. He was the grandfather of Rebecca Harris and Michael Hawkins and great-grandfather of Meredith Hawkins, Shane Hawkins, and Grace Harris, Anna Harris, and Brett Harris. He was the brother of William Hawkins, Clarence Hawkins, Daisy West, and the late Charles Hawkins, Frank Hawkins, Robert Hawkins, and Harold Hawkins.
Mr. Hawkins enjoyed automobiles, especially his 1970 El Camino.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018, from 2-4 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington St., Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018, at 11 AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Rock Run Cemetery.
