Life Story for Donald E. "Don" Bulger

Donald “Don” Earl Bulger, 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018. He passed away from complications of Parkinson’s Disease at his home in Billings, Montana. His loved ones were with him during his final days. He is now at peace living with Jesus.

Don was born in Hartford, Connecticut to LeRoy “Roy” & Charlotte Bulger on October 9, 1938. He graduated high school in Plymouth, New Hampshire in 1956. He married his favorite girl, Rosalind Reeck on March 2, 1968 in Clintonville, Wisconsin. Together, they welcomed three daughters, Pamela, Lynn & Faith.

As a young man, Don served in the US Army Intelligence in Asmara, Eritrea, Africa. He was honorably discharged on April 11, 1963. He spent much of his working career at the Kmart Corporation and retired from there in 2000. Throughout his life, Don lived in many places across the United States, settling in Billings, Montana in 1987. Over the years, he enjoyed being involved with Rotary, Kiwanians, March of Dimes, Girl Scouts, ELCA World Hunger, and his churches (currently Bethlehem Lutheran). He loved being in the outdoors, particularly golfing, hunting and fishing. He was an avid reader of many genres. He liked to travel and antique shop with his family.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Bulger and Charlotte Burtt and his sister, Joyce Boone.

Don is survived by his wife Rosalind, daughter Pamela (Jon) Ekker, daughter Lynn Bulger, daughter Faith (Rob) Sperry, brother LeRoy M. Bulger III, half-sister Laurel Glasgow, half-sister Heather Rosenfeld, and grand-children, Jack, Joe & Shashe Ekker.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, October 6th, 2018, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Rev. Jean Hay presiding and Rev. Paul Hanson preaching. Burial of Ashes will follow later (TBD) at Yellowstone National Cemetery (Laurel, Montana). Cremation by Smith West Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church (All Are Welcome Fund) or the charity of your choice.
