Mr. Homer “Jake” Hampton, 80, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on October 4, 2018. He was a son of the late Willie and Mamie Glaze Hampton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Dendy Hampton; son, Herman Pennie, five sisters, Gracie L. Hampton Hill, Essie L. Hampton Bowens, Lillian Hampton Turner, Reesie Hampton Blassingame, and Lois Hampton; five brothers, Willie Hampton, Jr., John Clyde Hampton, Robert Lewis Hampton, Ralph Hampton and Frank Hampton.
Homer was the last of his immediate family.
Left with cherished and fond memories, three daughters, Florence Pennie, Cynthia Martin and Wanda McMahan, all of Greenville, SC; one step- daughter, Emelda Dendy of the home; three sons, Robert Pennie, Alfredo Gilliam and De’Angelo Gilliam, all of Greenville, SC; one half brother, Howard Bradley of Tignall, GA; twenty grand-children; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
