Service for Gary Van Wheeler 82, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Ray Wheeler will officiate. Entombment will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Wheeler passed away October 5, 2018, in Cleburne. He was born June 1, 1936 in Wichita Falls to Elzie and Eula Robnett Wheeler. He married Maggie Fretwell on April 18, 1987 in Cleburne. He was a dispatcher for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department and was of the Church of Christ faith.
He is survived by his wife Maggie Wheeler of Cleburne, son Ray Wheeler and wife Malinda of Little Elm; daughter Carol Warren and husband Bobby of Decatur; step sons Raymond Clark and wife Ann Marie of Springtown, and Lawrence Clark; step daughter Loretta Marie Clark of Cleburne, 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a son David Mark Wheeler in March of 2016.
