Louis “Lou” Courchaine Sr passed away on October 3rd, at the age of 90.
Born in Glens Falls NY, Lou attended Marist College High School and Georgia State University, graduating with a degree in Business in 1954. Lou was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a faithful, devoted member of the Catholic Church. Lou retired from Davidson Mineral Properties in 1993, where he served as CFO.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Geraldine, sons Louis Jr, Steve (Lynn), Joey (Lucy) and Paul (Susan), daughters Angela (Dan), Teresa (Carlton), Delores (Wade), Andrea, Tonya, Vernie and Debra (Dale), siblings Helen, Joan, Dorothy, 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by parents Louis E. and Beatrice Courchaine, wife Connie Courchaine and sister Mary Davis.
A Funeral Mass to celebrate Lou’s life will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1 pm at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Covington GA with a reception following. Interment will be held in Winter Garden FL on October 15. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lou can be made to either Cornerstone Hospice Foundation or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
