Obituary for Edward Campbell

Edward Dean Campbell was born on May 19, 1950 in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Glen and Grace Campbell. He attended Emmetsburg High School and then attended Iowa Lakes Community College. Ed passed away at his apartment in Omaha, Nebraska on October 5, 2018 at the age of 68 years.
Ed lived in many places though out Minnesota and Iowa before settling in Graettinger, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Marlene Olson on December 25, 1975 at the United Methodist Church in Graettinger, Iowa. The couple had two children John and Melissa. The couple later divorced. Ed held a variety of jobs early in his life such as horse trainer, auto mechanic, and a police officer. Later, he worked as building maintenance for Spencer School of Business until it closed. Then he was hired by Clay County to continue building maintenance for them until he retired. Ed was living in Omaha for treatment at the time of his passing.
Ed loved woodworking, collecting antique radios, playing his many guitars, and was an avid follower of the St. Louis Cardinals. Ed was a longtime member of the Graettinger United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish Ed's memory are his children John Campbell, and Melissa (Michael) Johnson, his grandchildren Graham and Elliott Johnson, his siblings Waneta (Steve) Beaver, Donna (Don) Foxhoven, and Charlene (Mike) Carrigan.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents Glen Campbell and Grace Means; and his sister Sherry Lande.
