James Kenneth "Kenny" Price, age 73 of Thelma, died Monday October 8, 2018. He was born April 6, 1945 to the late Eddie and Hester Lewis Price. Kenny was the band director for 29 years with the Paintsville City School System and a member of the Concord United Baptist Church. Kenny is survived by his wife Sarah Daniel Price, three sons: James Kenneth (Cindy) Price Jr. of Winchester, VA, Peter Allen Price of Columbia, KY, and Jonah Daniel (Audrey) Price of Columbia, KY, one daughter: Sherri (Jim) Mollett of Thelma, KY, one daughter in law: Jennifer Price of Paint Lick, KY, two brothers: Edward Price of Panama City, FL and Joe Price of Lancaster, KY, one sister; Jetta Preston of Thelma, KY, five grand children and two great grand children. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by one son, Joseph Powell Price. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Preston Funeral Home and after 10 A.M. Thursday at the Concord United Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the Concord United Baptist Church with Freddy Salyer and John Blanton officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, KY.
