June Angela Gumbs Daly, one of two children was born in Monserrat, West Indies to Mable Edwards and Peter James Pogson on January 8, 1955. June went peacefully on September 27, 2018.

June received her early education in St. Croix. While there she attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church on a regular basis before migrating to Boston, MA in the early 1970’s. Upon arrival here, she continued her education in the Job Corps and then went on to Wilfred Beauty Academy. June worked at the Mather and Harvard Kent Schools as an Assistant for many years. June had the opportunity of being a part of the cast for the movie “Celtic Pride”, this was one of the highlights of her life. June was baptized at Berea Seventh Day Adventist Church in Boston, MA. in 1980 where she remained as a member. June had a passion for sewing and she designed most of her wardrobe as well as garments for her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling to Monserrat , Antigua and St. Kitts.

June was proceeded in death by her father Peter Pogson and brother Franklin Gumbs.

She leaves to mourn her mother Mable Edwards, husband Samuel Daly, her children, Lester, Sheneek, Shounda and Alginon, grandchildren Sakyia, Antoneice, Tizell, Trevaun, Leondre and London, brother Gary Nicholas of St. Kitts and her sister Eileen Pogson of Qunicy, MA., nieces Chaigna, Sherisse, Shermyra, Chantae and Nai’lmah, nephews, James, Theo, Enja, Hobson and Caleb, seven great-nices, two great-nephews, godmother to Ruby Mason and many other relatives and friends. June will be greatly missed. May she rest in everlasting peace.

A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 O’clock at Berea Seventh Day Adventist Church 108 Seaver Street Dorchester, MA 02124.
