Gladys Marie (Jackson) Whitaker, 94 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at Bethesda Health Care Center.
Gladys was born Tuesday, April 15, 1924 in Gainesboro, Tennessee to the late Andrew J. and Virginia (Moss) Jackson.
Gladys was a loving wife, mom, nanny, aunt, and friend.
Gladys is survived by:
Daughter: Brenda Huffine
Grandson: John Huffine (Susie Rogers)
Host of nieces, nephews, and special friends
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by: Husband, Walter Whitaker; 5 brothers, Joshua, Bud, Walter, Edward, and Oplis Jackson; 5 sisters, Ara Richardson, Tennie Roark, Clyde Roark, Edna Roberts, and Lera Terry.
Graveside Services for Gladys (Jackson) Whitaker will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery with Bro. Clarence DeLoach officiating. Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
