In loving memory of Mirjam Nieminen (née Kortesniemi), who passed away on Sunday, October 14th, 2018 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury at the age of 92. Mirjam is predeceased by her husband Markus, daughter Maritta Lane, granddaughter Regan, grandson Jeffrey and sister Pirkko Lepaus. Loving mother of Isto (Lesia). She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by close friend Toivo Valenius, sister Tutti Kortesniemi, son-in-law Fred Lane (Marilyn) and nieces and nephews in Finland. Mirjam was a long-time member of the Ladies of Kaleva and a supporter of Finlandia. She was born in Tampere Finland and came to Sudbury in 1952 with her husband and children. She was an outgoing, vivacious lady with lots of SISU.

A celebration of life will be held in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, JACKSON AND BARNARD, 233 Larch St., Sudbury on Monday, October 29th 2018 at 11:30am. (Friends may gather in the Chapel after 11am Monday.)
