Message to the Family: Jim may you rest in eternal peace! Life has away of going by very fast, it was just yesterday that you and I were playing baseball in St. Marys, Iowa. It was there where a pretty girl walked by the dugout and every head in the dugout turned to look. That pretty girl was your sister Jackie. Now Jackie is my wife and we both have a sadness that will not go away until we meet on that Big Ball Park in the sky. Message to the Family: I drove home with your ashes today. Along the way, I kept remembering when our family moved from Iowa to Missouri. We enjoyed a goodbye dinner with friends and family, then we were to drive to Lineville to meet up with Dad & Dory at Grandpa’s, then continue our journey the next morning. On the radio, we heard for the very first time, “New Kid in Town” by the Eagles. It is a moment etched in my memory as we were both about to be the new kids in town, excited and optimistic about our new school and the new friends we would make.
