Karen Clark Tassin departed this life unexpectedly on October 30, 2018 at Ochsner Kenner Hospital at the age of 56. Karen, known as, TaNoot, was born on November 11, 1961 in Thibodaux, La. to Winnie Schexnayder Clark and the late Shelton Clark, Jr. She is survived by her husband Bernell Tassin, Sr., children Karanell Tassin of Reserve, Trinell Tassin-Evans (Keith) of Prairieville and Bernell, B.J. Tassin (Jessica) of Gonzales, surrogate children Avonnti Rance and DeNair Clark. Affectionately known as Honey to her little "bees" Khailyn Gordon, Noah Tassin and Aria Evans. Sister of Robin Clark-Fleming (Huey, Jr.), Theron, Sr. Clark (Rhonda), Colbert Bot Clark (Aline), and Kim Clark. She was preceded in death by her father Shelton Jr., sister, Dardnella Clark, brother, Shelton Skully Clark III, grandparents, Guy and Louise Favorite Schexnayder, Shelton, Sr. and Elmira Clark and her precious grandson, Bryson Anthony Evans.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 for 10:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 772, LA 44, Reserve, La. Rev. Christopher Amadi, Celebrant. Viewing begins at 8:00 am followed by the rosary at 9:30 am. Entombment St. Philip Catholic Church Mausoleum, Vacherie, LA.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 East Airline Hwy., Gramercy, La., who has been entrusted with her final care.
