Obituary for Randy R. Johnston

Randy Ray Johnston (56 of Ault) passed away October 31 in his home. He was born August 9th, 1962 in Anoka, Minnesota to Marlin and Violet (Setula) Johnston. Randy attended school in Kersey and Greeley.

Randy was a truck driver through and through and he loved it. He began driving over the road for Steinbecker almost the day he turned 21. Over the years he drove for several different companies driving almost every kind of truck under the sun. In recent years he shifted gears and worked for Weld County and The Town of Severance to be home with his young boys. Recently he went back to driving for Ag Express where he was enjoying getting to take his sons with him and share his love of old country music and driving.

Randy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time camping and fishing and especially loved sharing that with his sons.

Randy married Sharla (Riley) on October 10, 2014. Randy was proceeded in death by his parents, a son Matthew Ray McIIvaine, a sister Lori Sue and a niece Dallas Lee Bradford.

He is survived by his wife, Sharla, his sons, Tanner Louis Toivo Johnston of Greeley, Robert Marlin Johnston, and Joseph Ray Johnston of Eaton, step children, Crispen and Eilish Riley of Ault, his sisters, Brenda (Brad) Bradford of Evans, Christie Hundley of Evans, and Lynne Johnston of Texas, his brothers John (Cathy) Johnston of Greeley and Scott Johnston of Ault, and many nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles.

Memorial service will be held November 17th, 2018, 2 pm at the Ault Fire House.
